We are a church community based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, with a global reach and a local heart. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, there is a place for you at Zion.
Whether you joined us for worship, a service event, or a community event, we'd love the opportunity to connect with you and follow up.
We promise not to be pushy; we would simply like the chance to chat further and answer any questions you may have.
If you are looking for a home church community, we would be honored if you considered returning to Zion for a second time!

We take Jesus' call to "make disciples" seriously, and recognize that we are all works in progress. Join us as we pray daily, worship weekly, study God's Word, build relationships, serve joyfully, and give selflessly.
As Philip said to Nathaniel, "Come and see," so we invite you to come and participate in any and all of our events. "Just show up" and see what God is up to at Zion!
Our primary worship service is on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. We worship in our sanctuary, the wood and brick building directly on the northwest corner of SE 10th Street and SE 6th Avenue in Deerfield Beach. Parking is available in front, behind, and to the side of our sanctuary and office building/preschool.
Our worship is liturgical, which means that we follow an order and pattern to worship that has been used by Christians for centuries. Our Sunday morning service lasts about an hour and includes prayers and singing, a sermon, and the celebration of Holy Communion.
Our worship may appear formal, but we insist that you "come as you are" to Zion. You will likely see people wearing everything from dresses and slacks to shorts and t-shirts. Wear what is comfortable to you; it is South Florida after all!
Everyone is welcome at the table. Baptized Christians of any denomination or tradition are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Other adults and children who have not yet been baptized or First Communion instruction may receive a blessing. If, for reasons of health or conscience, you choose to only receive the bread or wine, please know that Christ is fully present in each element.
Relax! God put the wiggle in children. Don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. When we say it, we mean it: all are welcome here! We even have a Prayground for young children to stay active and experience worship close up!
Here are some ideas:
The presence of children is a gift to the church. We firmly believe that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to the church, to God, and to one another.
We are very proud to have an accessible sanctuary. An accessible restroom is located in the offices adjacent to the sanctuary. Accessible parking is located directly in front of and directly behind the sanctuary. At Zion, we are committed to making improvements in our accessibility and inclusion, and our Cantor (who uses a wheelchair and scooter himself) is leading the conversation. If there's any barrier we can remove, please let us know and we will do our very best!
Children are God’s gift to our church! They are not the future of our church; they are the right now. The way we welcome children here directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God, and to one another.
We welcome children and their families to sit near the Prayground at the front of the sanctuary. There are coloring activities, puzzles, books, and a toolbox to engage in our worship together.
