Zion Music Ministry

“Music is given that the Creator might be praised and glorified, and that the Word of God’s redemption in Jesus Christ might, through the power of the Holy Spirit, be proclaimed to the Church and the world…”
From the “Statement on Worship & Music” of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians

Here at Zion Lutheran Church & School, we have a rich musical heritage and tradition that helps us proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world that needs to hear it.

Our Adult Choir is open to 6th Graders through Adults and rehearses normally on Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m., prior to our morning liturgy. We sing for weekly worship on Sunday mornings and for other special worship occasions.

Our Handbell Choir is also open to 6th Graders through Adults and rehearses on Thursdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. We play for the major festivals (Christmas and Easter) and other weekends in between.

Occasionally, we have the opportunity to welcome and showcase instrumentalists (students and adults) who add so much to our worship experience.

Zion Lutheran School also offers several opportunities for our students to grow in their love for music and the talents God has richly given. There are Handbell Ensembles for Middle & High School, Choirs for Elementary & Middle School, and Drama Classes in High School.
